June 25, 2007 - Fell off the truck, ER CAT Scans over the next 48 hours
1. Small hemorrhage anterior falx. Follow-up evaluation recommended. 5mm rounded hyperdensity anterior falx compatible with small hemorrhage. Some portions of the hyperdense area anterior falx slightly higher density. Possibility it could represent small area of calcification possibly small calcified meningioma given the location however in the setting of trauma hemorrhage should be excluded and follow-up for stability recommended.
2. (11 hours later) No change in interhemispheric hyperdense focus favors calcified meningioma over hemorrhage.
3. (12 hours after last CAT) Another CAT scan at a different hospital. I don’t have the studies but they said they couldn’t rule out a bleed.
July 2007
MRI shows 6 mm left parafalcine meningioma.

My doctor calls to outline modest plan of seeing a neurologist to follow the blood vessel condition (routine); see a neurosurgeon to follow the meningioma (nothing expected other than to monitor its size); see an endocrinologist because all these MRIs also found little nodules on my thyroid, probably nothing. AND, lovely, I’m 50, it’s time for my first colonoscopy.
Ordinarily, I’d say, NAW, but I got a laugh out of the doctor when I said, Well, it’s been that kind of a year so I guess it’s appropriate to wrap up the year with that kind of test ![]()

Had surgery to remove left falcine meningioma (4 cm)August 9, 2007. Would like to communicate with you.
My M hasn’t changed for ten years. Hope you are as lucky as me!
Hi
I’m reading your posts with great interest. I’m a 46-year old woman with a 1.4 cm meningioma — unchanged for three years.
My main supplementation has been high-quality probiotics — billions of them. I’ve also tried enzymes, curcumin, diet and vit D. I just started Fish Oil supplementation yesterday. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.
Feel free to contact me if you wish.
6/19/2008 was just diagnosed with parafalcine meningioma, about 15cm. Have not seen a neurologist yet for an evalutaion. Had CAT scan for some sinus problems and that showed up on the scan to my surprise.
